Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Turn clockwise to increase desired humidity level, counter-clockwise to decrease. The built-in humidistat will cycle the fan to maintain the set level.

Mist Nozzle: Rotate 360° to direct mist output.

Indicator Light: The green power light is on when plugged in. The red refill light illuminates when the water tank is empty or nearly empty.

Automatic Operation: The unit will automatically turn off when the tank is empty. It will resume when the tank is refilled and properly seated.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh water. Do not let water sit in tank for more than 2 days.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Empty all water. Clean tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Fill the base (not the tank) and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub with a soft brush, rinse completely.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and storage.

CAUTION! Never immerse the motor unit or base electronics in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or hardened.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old wick filter from the base.
  3. Insert the new filter, ensuring it is seated flat on the filter frame.
  4. Reassemble the unit. Allow 15-20 minutes for the new filter to fully absorb water before operation.

Tip: Using distilled water can extend filter life and reduce white dust.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Turns the unit off when the water tank is empty, protecting the motor.

Tip-Over Protection: Some models include a switch that turns the unit off if tilted.

Cool Mist Technology: Produces room-temperature mist, eliminating burn risks associated with warm mist humidifiers.
