Controls and Operation

Primary control is the Mist Control Knob on the base unit.

Operation: Turn knob clockwise to increase mist output (from Low to High). Turn counter-clockwise to decrease or turn off. The Refill Indicator Light will glow red when water level is low and tank needs refilling.

Daily Use: For continuous operation, refill tank when indicator lights or mist output decreases. Adjust mist level based on room humidity and personal comfort. Use distilled water to minimize mineral buildup and extend filter life.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug unit and remove tank from base.
  2. Empty any remaining water from tank and base.
  3. Clean tank with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe base interior with damp cloth. Do not submerge base in water.
  5. Clean mist nozzle with a soft brush or cloth to remove any residue.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

Tip: A mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1) can be used to descale mineral deposits. Rinse thoroughly after.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or clogged.

  1. Unplug unit and remove water tank.
  2. Remove old filter from base by lifting it out of the holder.
  3. Insert new Honeywell HWF350 (or equivalent) wick filter. Ensure it is seated flat.
  4. Reassemble tank and base. Soak new filter for 15-20 minutes before first use for optimal performance.

Note: Using the unit without a filter or with a damaged filter may reduce performance and cause mineral dust.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Automatically powers off when water tank is empty to prevent damage. Low Water Indicator: Red light alerts when refill is needed. Tip-Over Protection: Unit is designed to minimize leakage if tipped, but always operate upright.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare unit for storage.

  1. Unplug and empty all water from tank and base.
  2. Clean thoroughly as per maintenance instructions and allow to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard old wick filter.
  4. Store unit in original box or cover in a cool, dry place.
  5. Do not store with filter installed if storing for more than a week.

CAUTION! Never store with water inside. This can lead to mold and damage.
