Installation & Setup

Unpack all components and inspect for damage.

  1. Place the humidifier on a flat, level, waterproof surface at least 12 inches from walls.
  2. Remove the water tank and fill with clean, cool tap water through the top opening.
  3. Install the antimicrobial filter into the filter frame according to arrows.
  4. Insert the water tank back into the base until it clicks securely.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on carpets or uneven surfaces. Ensure the unit is upright before filling.

First-Time Use

Follow these steps to begin operation.

  1. Ensure the humidifier is properly assembled and filled.
  2. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  3. Select fan speed: HIGH for maximum humidity, LOW for quiet operation.
  4. The REFILL indicator will light when the water level is low.
  5. Adjust placement based on room size and humidity needs.

CAUTION! Use only clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water or additives.

Humidity Level: This is a console humidifier; it does not have a built-in humidistat. For optimal comfort, monitor room humidity with a separate hygrometer and adjust operation accordingly.

Maintenance & Filter Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Filter Replacement: Replace the antimicrobial wick filter every 1-3 months during use, or when mineral deposits are visible. Use only Honeywell replacement filter #HRF-3.
  2. Daily: Refill the water tank as needed when the REFILL light comes on.
  3. Weekly: Inspect the filter and base for scale or debris.
  4. Seasonal: At the end of the season, clean thoroughly and store dry.

Tip: Using demineralization cartridges or distilled water can extend filter life in hard water areas.

Cleaning Instructions

Unplug the unit before any cleaning.

  1. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Clean the tank interior with a mixture of mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. To disinfect, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water. Rinse multiple times.
  5. Clean the base tray to prevent mold or mildew buildup.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.

CAUTION! Never immerse the motor unit or base in water. Do not use detergents on the filter.
