Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a flat, stable, level surface away from walls and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and tank.
  2. Install the demineralization cartridge: Remove from packaging and insert into the slot inside the base.
  3. Fill the tank: Remove tank from base, turn upside down, unscrew cap, fill with cool tap water, replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank on base: Align tank with base and set firmly in place.
  5. Plug into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only cool, clean tap water. Do not use hot water, additives, or essential oils. Ensure unit is on a waterproof surface.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier; adjust settings as needed.

  1. Turn the mist control knob to the desired setting (Low, Medium, High).
  2. Adjust the 360° mist nozzle to direct mist away from walls and furniture.
  3. Turn the night light on or off using the night light switch, if desired.
  4. Allow a few minutes for mist to appear. The unit will run until the tank is empty or turned off.

CAUTION! Do not block the mist outlet. Keep out of reach of children. Place on a level surface to prevent leakage.

Controls and Operation

Control Panel located on the front of the base unit.

Controls: Mist Control Knob (turns unit on/off and adjusts output), Night Light Switch, Power Indicator LED.

Operation: Turn knob clockwise to increase mist output. The LED will illuminate when powered. The night light provides soft illumination; turn off if not desired. The automatic shut-off will activate when the water tank is empty, indicated by the LED turning off. To restart, refill the tank.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Weekly (or when indicated): Empty any remaining water. Disassemble tank and base.
  3. Clean tank and base with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush for hard-to-reach areas.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove soap residue.
  5. Descale monthly: Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
  6. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and storage.

Tip: Do not immerse the base unit in water. Clean the demineralization cartridge housing regularly.

Replacing the Demineralization Cartridge

The cartridge reduces white dust and should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when discolored.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Locate the cartridge slot inside the base unit.
  3. Remove the old cartridge by pulling it straight out.
  4. Insert a new Honeywell Demineralization Cartridge (Type HD1) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  5. Reassemble the unit and run for a few minutes to prime the new cartridge.

WARNING! Use only genuine Honeywell replacement cartridges for optimal performance and safety.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Turns off when water level is low or tank is removed. Tip-Over Protection: Internal switch cuts power if unit is knocked over. Overheat Protection: Thermal fuse prevents overheating.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts as described in Maintenance.
  3. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  4. Reassemble and store in original box or a dry, cool place.
  5. Remove the demineralization cartridge for separate storage.
