Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean the tank: Use a soft brush and a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean the base: Wipe interior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
  5. Descale if needed: Use a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1) to remove mineral deposits. Rinse well.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or hardened.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank and the old wick filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new filter (Model HWF-360) in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the saturated filter into the filter frame in the base.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then refill with water.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and cause damage.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period, prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in the cleaning section.
  3. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  4. Allow all parts to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
  5. Reassemble the unit without a filter and store in its original box in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank or base, as this can promote mold growth.
