Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug unit before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Empty any remaining water. Clean tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit in base for 20 minutes, then scrub gently. Rinse multiple times until vinegar smell is gone.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

Tip: Never immerse the motorized base in water. Clean only the tank and base reservoir.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more often if using hard water or running continuously.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the base frame.
  3. Soak the new HFD-110 filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the soaked filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reassemble the unit and refill with water.

WARNING! Do not operate the humidifier without a filter. Using an old or clogged filter reduces efficiency and can promote microbial growth.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Turns off when tank is empty to protect the motor. Tip-Over Protection: Some models may include a switch that turns the unit off if tipped. Refill Indicator: Light alerts user to low water level.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:
