Controls and Operation

Control Panel: POWER, SPEED (Low/Med/High), HUMIDITY (35/45/55/65/AUTO), TIMER (1-24H), UV Indicator, REFILL Indicator.

Operation Modes: AUTO (humidistat controls output), MANUAL (fixed speed). The digital display shows current room humidity and settings.

Maintenance Alerts: REFILL light glows when tank is empty. UV light indicates germ reduction system is active. Replace filter light illuminates when wick needs changing (approx. every 1-2 months).

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Daily: Refill tank with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly: Clean tank and base with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Deep clean: Use a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) to descale the base and tank. Soak for 20 minutes, scrub, rinse.
  4. Filter Replacement: Replace wick filter (Model HWF) every 1-2 months or when visibly scaled or discolored.
  5. UV Bulb: The UV bulb is rated for approximately 12 months of continuous use. Replace with Honeywell UV bulb (part #HVUC) when UV indicator fails to light.

Tip: Always unplug the unit and empty the tank before cleaning.

UV Technology

The UV chamber uses short-wave ultraviolet light to penetrate the cells of microorganisms in the water, disrupting their DNA and preventing reproduction.

  1. UV light activates automatically when the unit is powered and water is flowing.
  2. The UV indicator light on the control panel confirms the system is working.
  3. This technology is designed to reduce up to 99.9% of bacteria, mold, and fungi in the water tank, helping to provide cleaner mist output.

WARNING! Never look directly at the UV light. Never operate the unit with the UV chamber cover removed.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly dry the tank and base.
  3. Remove and discard the old wick filter.
  4. Clean all parts as described in the maintenance section.
  5. Store in original box or a dry place, with the tank separate from the base.

CAUTION! Do not store with water in the tank. Never use abrasive cleaners or submerge the base unit in water.
