Controls and Settings

Primary control is the Humidistat Knob on the front of the base unit.

Control Knob: Rotate clockwise from OFF to LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH mist output settings. The setting determines fan speed and mist volume.

Indicator Lights: Power Light (Blue/Green) shows unit is on. Filter Change Indicator Light (Red/Orange) illuminates when it's time to replace the demineralization cartridge.

Mist Nozzle: Manually rotate 360° to direct mist flow away from walls, furniture, or electronics.

Operation

For daily use, ensure the tank is filled and the filter is in good condition.

  1. Daily Start: Ensure tank is filled and properly seated on base. Turn knob to desired setting.
  2. Monitoring: Check water level periodically. Refill when low.
  3. Automatic Shut-Off: When the tank is empty, the unit will automatically power off. The power light may remain on until unplugged.
  4. Night Use: The LOW setting is recommended for quiet operation during sleep.
  5. To Stop: Turn knob to OFF. Unplug from outlet if not using for an extended period.

Tip: For best performance, use in a closed room. Place at least 12 inches away from walls and furniture.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, mineral buildup, and ensures efficient operation.

  1. Unplug the unit before any cleaning.
  2. Daily: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  3. Weekly/Tank Cleaning: Empty any remaining water. Clean tank interior with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl, soak for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry completely.
  4. Base Cleaning: Wipe base interior with a vinegar/water dampened cloth. Do not get motor or electronics wet. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly.
  5. Storage: If not using for a season, clean all parts thoroughly, allow to dry completely, and store in original box in a cool, dry place. Remove filter.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Do not submerge base unit in water. Always ensure all parts are completely dry before use.

Filter Replacement

The demineralization cartridge (Filter) should be replaced every 30 days or when the Filter Change Indicator light turns on, whichever comes first.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Locate the used filter in the base slot. Pull it straight up and out.
  3. Unpack the new Honeywell replacement filter (Model FC-30A or equivalent).
  4. Insert the new filter into the slot, pressing down until it is fully seated.
  5. Reset the Filter Indicator Light (if applicable): On some models, press and hold the filter reset button for 3 seconds after installing the new filter.
  6. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with an expired filter will result in white mineral dust being emitted.
