Controls and Operation

Control Knob: Turn clockwise to increase mist output (Low, Medium, High). Turn fully counter-clockwise to OFF.

Indicator Lights: Refill Light (Red) – Illuminates when water tank is empty or nearly empty. This indicates the unit will soon auto-shutoff.

Daily Operation: To refill, unplug unit, remove tank, fill with cool water, replace tank, and plug back in. The humidifier will resume operation at the previously set mist level.

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty to protect the motor. The red refill light will remain on until the tank is refilled.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Unplug the humidifier before any cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Daily: Empty any remaining water from the tank and base if not in use for more than a day.
  3. Weekly Cleaning: Clean tank and base with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): For hard water areas, clean mineral deposits with a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let solution sit in tank and base for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
  5. Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.

Tip: Never immerse the motorized base in water. Wipe with a damp cloth only.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more often in hard water areas or with continuous use.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the base compartment.
  3. Insert the new Honeywell replacement filter (Model #HCM-525F) into the slot.
  4. Reassemble the tank and base. Allow 15-20 minutes for the new filter to fully saturate before turning on.
  5. Reset the filter change reminder (if applicable) by noting the installation date.

WARNING! Using the humidifier without a filter or with a damaged filter can reduce performance and void the warranty.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty to prevent motor damage. Tip-Over Protection: Unit is designed to minimize spillage if tipped, but always place on a stable surface.

Important Safety Instructions: Always use on a flat, level surface. Do not block mist outlet. Keep out of reach of children. Do not operate in an enclosed space where moisture can accumulate on walls. Unplug when not in use for extended periods.

Care & Storage

When storing the humidifier for an extended period (e.g., summer months):

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Completely empty and dry the water tank and base.
  3. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  4. Clean all parts as described in the cleaning section and allow to dry fully.
  5. Store in original packaging or a clean, dry place.
  6. Do not store with a filter installed; install a new filter at the start of the next season.
