First-Time Use

After installation, power on the humidifier and configure initial settings.

  1. Power On: Plug in the unit. The Power/Refill indicator may light briefly.
  2. Set Humidity Level: Turn the Humidistat Control Dial to your desired setting (e.g., 40-60% RH is often recommended for comfort).

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Control Dial (Humidistat): Rotate to set desired humidity level. The unit will cycle on and off to maintain this level.

Indicator Lights:
Power/Refill Light (Blue): Illuminates when unit is plugged in and operating normally. Flashes or changes color (refer to manual) when tank is empty and needs refilling.
Filter Change Indicator (if equipped): May illuminate when the demineralization cartridge needs replacement (typically after 30 days of use).

Mist Nozzle: Adjustable 360° rotation to direct mist flow.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use, or as needed.

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Disassemble: Remove the water tank from the base. Separate the tank cap from the tank.
  4. Clean: Wash the tank, base, and cap with a mild detergent (e.g., dish soap) and warm water. Use a soft brush or cloth to clean interior surfaces. Do not submerge the motor base in water.
  5. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
  6. Descale (if needed): For mineral deposits, use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) to soak affected parts for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
  7. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Always ensure all parts are completely dry before re-use to prevent mold growth.

Filter Replacement

The Demineralization Cartridge (Wicking Filter) should be replaced every 30 days of use, or when visibly discolored or clogged.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and empty all water.
  2. Remove the old cartridge from its slot in the base.
  3. Prepare the new cartridge: Soak it in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, soaked cartridge into the slot in the base.
  5. Reset the Filter Change Indicator (if your model has one) by pressing and holding the indicated button for 3 seconds after powering on.

Tip: Using the demineralization cartridge helps reduce white dust on furniture. For best performance, replace regularly.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty, preventing damage to the motor.

Tip-Over Protection (if equipped): Some models may include a switch that turns the unit off if it is knocked over.

Anti-Microbial Material (if equipped): Tank or base may be treated to inhibit the growth of mold and bacteria.
