Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a flat, stable, level surface away from walls and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from tank and base.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove from package, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter tray in base.
  3. Assemble tank to base: Align tank with base and press down until secure.
  4. Place humidifier at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper mist dispersion.
  5. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only on a level, water-resistant surface. Do not place on carpets or near heat sources.

First-Time Use

Before first use, clean tank and base as per cleaning instructions.

  1. Fill tank with cool, clean water. Do not use hot water or additives.
  2. Place tank securely on base.
  3. Plug in unit. The unit will be in standby mode.
  4. Turn the humidistat control knob to desired humidity level or to "Continuous" for maximum output.
  5. Adjust mist outlet direction as needed.
  6. Allow up to 15 minutes for mist to appear as filter saturates.

CAUTION! Never operate without water or with an empty tank. Always use clean, cool water.

Controls and Operation

Main Control: Humidistat Knob on front of base.

Operation: Turn knob clockwise to increase humidity setting. "Continuous" setting runs until tank is empty. The unit will cycle on/off automatically to maintain set humidity level when not on Continuous.

Indicator Lights: Power On/Filter Change (if equipped).

Mist Outlet: Adjustable grille to direct mist flow.

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty; unit will turn off and must be refilled to restart.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Unplug unit from outlet.
  2. Lift tank off base using carry handle.
  3. Turn tank upside down and unscrew cap on bottom.
  4. Fill with cool, clean tap water up to fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Replace cap securely.
  6. Wipe any spilled water from exterior.
  7. Place tank back on base, aligning properly.
  8. Plug unit back in. Operation resumes automatically if knob is in ON position.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to extend filter life and reduce white dust.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean every 1-2 weeks during use to prevent mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Unplug and empty all water.
  2. Remove tank from base.
  3. Clean tank interior with mild detergent and soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe base interior with damp cloth. Do not submerge base in water.
  5. Clean mist outlet with cotton swab if clogged.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.
  7. Reinstall filter if clean and still effective.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or solvents. Do not immerse base in water.

Filter Replacement

Replace filter every 1-2 months or when discolored/less effective.

  1. Unplug unit and empty water.
  2. Remove tank from base.
  3. Remove old filter from filter tray in base.
  4. Soak new HDH-132F filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert new filter into tray, ensuring it sits flat.
  6. Reassemble tank to base.
  7. Reset filter change indicator (if equipped) by pressing and holding button for 3 seconds.

Note: Using the unit without a filter may result in white dust and reduced performance.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts as per cleaning instructions.
  3. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  4. Remove and discard old filter.
  5. Store unit in original box or cover in a cool, dry place.
  6. Do not store with water in tank.

CAUTION! Never store with water inside to prevent mold and mildew growth.
