Tip: For best results, use distilled water to minimize mineral deposits and extend wick filter life.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to prevent mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks, or more often in hard water areas.

  1. Unplug the unit. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Clean the Tank: Fill tank with a mixture of 1 quart white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub interior with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  3. Clean the Base: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. For the reservoir in the base, pour out any standing water and wipe clean. Do not submerge the base in water.
  4. Dry Completely: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly and use.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents not recommended by the manufacturer. Do not immerse the motorized base in water or other liquids.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when it appears discolored, hard, or has an odor.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier. Remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Soak the new HF-142 filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the damp filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated flat and straight.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base. The unit is ready for use.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and damage the unit.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in the cleaning section.
  2. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  3. Allow all parts to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
  4. Reassemble the unit without a filter. Store in its original box or a clean, dry place.
  5. Before next use, install a new wick filter.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank or base, as this can lead to mold and mildew growth.
