Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a flat, stable, level surface away from walls and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from tank and base.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from packaging, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter compartment in base.
  3. Fill the tank: Remove tank from base, turn upside down, unscrew cap, fill with cool, clean water (do not use hot water or additives).
  4. Reassemble: Place tank back onto base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Plug into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool water. Do not operate without filter installed. Keep away from children.

First-Time Use

After installation, follow these steps for initial operation.

  1. Power on: Plug in unit. The unit will be off.
  2. Turn humidifier on: Rotate the humidity control dial from "OFF" to desired mist level (LOW, MED, HIGH).
  3. Adjust mist direction: Point the mist outlet away from walls, furniture, and electronics.
  4. Optional night light: Press the NIGHT LIGHT button to turn the blue light on/off.
  5. Monitor humidity: Allow several hours to raise room humidity. Refill tank as needed.

CAUTION! Place on a water-resistant surface. Do not block mist outlet.

Main controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Rotate from OFF to LOW, MED, or HIGH to adjust mist output. Night Light Button: Press to toggle soft blue light on or off. Mist Outlet: Adjustable nozzle to direct mist flow.

Operation Tips: For best results, keep doors closed. Use in rooms with moderate dryness. The automatic shut-off will activate when the tank is empty, and the unit will power off. The low water indicator (if equipped) will light up when refill is needed.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from tank and base.
  3. Clean tank: Fill with a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit for 20 minutes, scrub interior with soft brush, rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean base: Wipe interior surfaces with a vinegar/water solution and a soft cloth. Do not submerge base in water.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and storage.

WARNING! Never use harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasives. Unplug before cleaning.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more often if water is hard or unit is used frequently.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove water tank and empty base.
  3. Remove old filter from filter compartment.
  4. Soak new HF-300 filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert new filter into compartment, ensuring it is seated properly.
  6. Reassemble tank and base.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and cause mineral dust (white dust).

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Turns off unit when water tank is empty to prevent damage. Tip-Over Protection: Internal switch may turn unit off if tipped over (model dependent). Low Water Indicator: Alerts user when tank needs refilling.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare unit for storage.

  1. Unplug unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean tank and base as per cleaning instructions.
  3. Remove and discard old filter. Do not store with wet filter.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely.
  5. Reassemble and store in original box or a cool, dry place.
