Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a level, stable surface away from walls and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and tank.
  2. Install the wick filter: Remove filter from plastic bag and insert into the base unit, ensuring it is seated properly.
  3. Fill the tank: Carry tank to water source, remove cap, fill with cool, clean water. Replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank on base: Align tank with base and set it down gently. Water will begin to soak the wick.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool water. Do not use hot water or add fragrances/oils to the water tank. Ensure unit is on a waterproof surface.

First-Time Use

After installation, allow the wick to fully saturate with water for 15-20 minutes before operation.

  1. Power on: Turn the humidistat control dial clockwise from "OFF" to the desired humidity setting.
  2. The power indicator light will illuminate. The fan will begin to operate.
  3. Adjust the humidistat to your comfort level. Higher settings increase fan speed and moisture output.
  4. Monitor the refill indicator light; it will illuminate when the tank is empty.

CAUTION! Do not operate without the wick filter installed. Do not move the unit while it is filled with water.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the humidistat dial on the front of the unit.

Dial Positions: OFF, LOW (1), MEDIUM (2-3), HIGH (4-5).

Indicator Lights:
Power Light (Green): Illuminates when unit is on.
Refill Light (Red): Illuminates when water tank is empty or very low.

Operation Tips: For best results, keep doors to the room closed. Ideal indoor humidity is between 40% and 60%. Use a hygrometer to monitor room humidity if desired. Turn dial to OFF when not in use or when refilling.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Refill tank with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly: Clean the water tank and base.
    • Empty any remaining water.
    • Wipe interior of tank and base with a soft cloth dampened with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water.
    • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  3. Monthly (or as needed): Deep clean to remove scale.
    • Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Fill the tank halfway with this solution and swish it around. Let it sit for 20 minutes.
    • Pour some solution into the base reservoir to soak. Scrub any mineral deposits with a soft brush.
    • Rinse all parts multiple times with clean water until vinegar smell is gone.

CAUTION! Never immerse the motor housing or base electronics in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during the season, or when it appears heavily mineralized or dirty.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the base. Discard it.
  3. Take the new HE105FILTER out of its packaging. Do not rinse it.
  4. Insert the new filter into the base, pressing down so it sits flat in the reservoir.
  5. Reinstall the water tank, fill with water, and allow 15-20 minutes for the new wick to fully saturate before turning the unit on.

Tip: Using demineralization cartridges or distilled water can extend filter life.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: The fan will automatically turn off when the water tank is empty, preventing damage to the motor.
Tip-Over Protection: Ensure the unit is placed on a stable surface. If tipped over, water may spill; unplug immediately.
Cool Mist Technology: Produces room-temperature mist, safe for use around children and pets.
Refill Indicator: Red light alerts you to add water, promoting efficient operation.

Care & Storage

At the end of the humidification season, prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Completely empty the tank and base. Dry all parts thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  3. Remove the wick filter and discard it. Do not store a used, wet filter inside the unit.
  4. Leave the tank cap off to allow air circulation.
  5. Store all parts in a cool, dry place. Do not store with weight on top of the unit.
  6. Before next use, clean the unit as described in the Maintenance section and install a new filter.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank or base, as this can lead to mold and mildew growth.
