Operation Modes

Three main modes for different needs.

  1. Continuous Mode: Fan runs continuously at selected speed until tank is empty or unit is turned off.
  2. Auto Mode (with Humidistat): Unit automatically turns fan on/off to maintain your set humidity level. Most energy-efficient.
  3. Quiet/Sleep Mode: Fan runs at lowest possible speed. Ideal for bedrooms or offices.

Tip: Use Auto Mode for consistent comfort and to prevent over-humidification. The refill indicator light will illuminate when the tank is empty.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Check water level and refill as needed.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Empty any remaining water. Clean tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): For hard water areas, use a descaling solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water). Pour into base, let sit for 15-20 minutes, then scrub gently and rinse.
  4. Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Do not submerge the motor or control panel in water.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter is essential for operation and air quality. Replace every 1-3 months depending on usage and water hardness.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old filter from the base frame.
  3. Insert the new filter, ensuring it sits flat and fully within the frame.
  4. Press the FILTER RESET button on the control panel to reset the filter timer indicator.
  5. Reinstall the water tank and plug the unit back in.

CAUTION! Use only genuine Honeywell HE120B replacement filters. A clogged or old filter reduces efficiency and can promote microbial growth.
