Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and ensures efficient operation.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly: Clean the water tank and base unit.
  3. Monthly or as needed: Deep clean to remove scale; replace the wick filter (see Filter Replacement).

Cleaning Procedure:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Remove and empty the water tank and base reservoir.
  3. Clean the tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Do not submerge the base electronics.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents not intended for plastic. Never immerse the base unit, motor, or electronics in water.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Remove the old wick filter from the filter frame inside the base.
  4. Insert a new Honeywell replacement filter (Model HF-150) into the frame. Ensure it is seated properly and fully expanded.
  5. Reinstall the water tank and plug in the unit.

Note: Using a worn-out filter reduces moisture output and efficiency. Always use genuine Honeywell replacement filters.
