Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Rotate clockwise to increase mist output (Low → Medium → High). Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease.

Indicator Lights: Power Indicator (steady green when plugged in). Refill Indicator (red when tank is empty).

Operation Modes: Low - quiet operation, minimal mist. Medium - balanced output for typical rooms. High - maximum mist output for dry conditions.

Operation Guide

Daily operation and best practices for optimal performance.

  1. Check water level daily; refill when Refill Indicator lights or mist decreases.
  2. Adjust humidity based on season: Higher in winter, lower in humid months.
  3. Place unit at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper air circulation.
  4. Use in rooms with doors closed for most effective humidity control.
  5. For continuous operation, refill tank before completely empty to maintain filter saturation.

Tip: Ideal indoor humidity is 30-50%. Use a hygrometer to monitor room humidity.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Unplug unit before any maintenance.
  2. Empty any remaining water from tank and base.
  3. Clean tank weekly: Use mild dish soap and warm water; rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean base monthly: Wipe interior with damp cloth; use vinegar solution for mineral deposits.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.
  6. Allow to air dry for at least 30 minutes before refilling.

WARNING! Do not immerse base in water. Never use abrasive cleaners or brushes.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months or when visibly discolored/mineralized.

  1. Unplug unit and remove water tank.
  2. Remove old filter from base compartment; dispose of properly.
  3. Insert new filter (Honeywell part #HRF-3) into slot, ensuring full contact with base.
  4. Reassemble tank and base; refill with water.
  5. Allow 15-20 minutes for new filter to fully saturate before use.

Note: Using the unit without a filter or with a dirty filter will reduce performance and may cause mineral dust emission.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare unit for storage.

  1. Unplug and empty all water from tank and base.
  2. Remove and discard old filter.
  3. Clean all parts thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
  4. Store unit in original packaging or cover in a cool, dry place.
  5. Do not store with filter installed; install new filter when ready to use again.

CAUTION! Never store with water in tank to prevent mold and bacterial growth.
