Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and tank.
  2. Place the humidifier base on a flat, level surface at least 12 inches away from walls and furniture.
  3. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from package, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into the filter frame in the base.
  4. Fill the tank with cool, clean water. Do not use hot water.
  5. Place the filled tank onto the base, ensuring it is seated properly.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool water. Do not add essential oils or other additives to the water tank, as this can damage the unit.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps for initial operation.

  1. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the humidity control dial to the desired setting (Low, Medium, High).
  3. The power indicator light will illuminate, and mist should begin to emit from the outlet.
  4. Adjust the mist outlet direction as needed.
  5. Allow the unit to run for a few minutes to ensure proper operation.

CAUTION! Always place the humidifier on a water-resistant surface. Do not place on carpets or uneven surfaces where it may tip over.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

The humidifier features simple, manual controls located on the front of the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Rotate to select mist output level. Settings typically include OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH. The higher the setting, the more moisture is added to the air and the faster the tank will empty.

Mist Outlet: Can be rotated 360 degrees to direct the cool mist where needed.

Power Indicator Light: A small LED light that glows blue when the unit is plugged in and the dial is set to any setting other than OFF.

Note: This is a manual humidifier and does not have a built-in humidistat to automatically maintain a specific room humidity level. Adjust the dial based on comfort and room conditions.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is required for optimal performance and to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  1. Daily: Refill the water tank as needed. Use clean, cool water.
  2. Weekly: Clean the tank and base according to the cleaning instructions.
  3. As Needed: Replace the wicking filter every 1-2 months, or more often if you have hard water or notice reduced mist output.
  4. When not in use for extended periods, empty all water, clean thoroughly, and store dry with the tank separated from the base.

Tip: Using distilled or demineralized water can reduce mineral buildup and extend the life of the wicking filter.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter is essential for operation and must be replaced regularly.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base. Discard it.
  3. Take the new filter from its packaging and soak it in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the soaked filter into the filter frame, ensuring it is seated flat and fully within the frame.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug the unit back in.
  6. Reset the filter change indicator if your model has one (consult specific manual).

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. This can damage the motor and will not properly humidify the air.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: The humidifier will automatically power off when the water tank is empty, protecting the motor from damage.

Tip-Over Protection: If the unit is knocked over, it is designed to stop operation.

Note: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the humidifier before cleaning.

  1. Tank: Empty any remaining water. Clean the inside with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) or a mild detergent. Use a soft brush or cloth to scrub. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  2. Base: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water. To clean the interior reservoir, pour a vinegar solution into the base (do not exceed the fill line), let sit for 20 minutes, then empty and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Mist Outlet: Wipe clean with a damp cloth to remove any mineral deposits.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Do not allow water to enter the motor housing or electrical components.
