Controls and Operation

Main controls are located on the base. Power Button: Turns unit on/off. Humidity Control Dial: Adjusts mist output from Low to High. Night Light Button: Toggles the blue night light on/off.

Operation Tips: For best performance, use distilled or demineralized water to reduce white dust and mineral buildup. Adjust the mist output based on room dryness. The automatic shut-off will activate when the water tank is empty, indicated by the power light turning off.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet.
  2. Lift the water tank off the base using the carry handle.
  3. Turn the tank upside down and unscrew the tank cap (located on the bottom).
  4. Fill the tank with cool, clean water up to the fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Securely screw the tank cap back on.
  6. Place the tank back onto the base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  7. Plug the unit back in. The humidifier will resume operation if the power dial is on.

Tip: Refill the tank daily for continuous operation. Always handle the tank with care to avoid spills.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, bacteria, and mineral buildup.

Daily: Empty and rinse the tank when refilling. Weekly: Deep clean the tank and base.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the tank and wick filter.
  2. Clean the tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Wipe the base interior and exterior with a soft cloth dampened with the vinegar solution. Do not submerge the base.
  4. Rinse all parts with clean water and allow to air dry completely before reassembly.
  5. Reinstall the wick filter and tank.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents. Always unplug before cleaning.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or hardened.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new HWF225 filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the soaked filter into the filter frame in the base.
  5. Reinstall the water tank and plug in the unit.

Note: Using a dirty or old filter reduces mist output and efficiency. Use only genuine Honeywell HWF225 replacement filters.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Clean all parts thoroughly as described in the cleaning section and allow to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  4. Store all parts in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original box.
  5. Do not store with a wet filter or any water inside.

CAUTION! Proper storage prevents mold growth and component damage.
