Controls and Operation

Primary controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Rotate to select mist output level (Low, Medium, High). Turning to "OFF" powers down the unit.

Refill Indicator Light: A red LED that lights up when the water tank is empty, reminding you to refill.

Mist Outlet: Can be rotated 360 degrees to direct mist flow away from walls, furniture, or electronics.

Operation Tips: For best results, maintain indoor humidity between 40% and 60%. Use a hygrometer to monitor room humidity. Clean the unit regularly as described in the Maintenance section.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, mineral buildup, and ensures efficient operation.

  1. Daily: Empty any remaining water from the tank and base. Rinse with clean water.
  2. Weekly Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Fill the tank with a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Let sit for 20 minutes.
    • Scrub the interior with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
    • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  3. Before Storage: Perform a thorough cleaning and ensure all parts are completely dry.

WARNING! Never immerse the base unit in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more frequently in hard water areas.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Locate the filter compartment on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and dispose of it.
  4. Insert the new filter (Honeywell Part # HE225A1006F). Ensure it is seated flat.
  5. Reassemble the unit and run it for 15 minutes to saturate the new filter.

Note: Using a non-genuine or worn-out filter can reduce performance, increase noise, and cause mineral dust (white dust) to be emitted.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty, protecting the motor.

Tip-Over Protection: If the unit is knocked over, it will shut off automatically.

Refill Indicator: The red light alerts you to add water, preventing dry running.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as per weekly instructions.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store the unit with a used, wet filter inside.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry.
  5. Reassemble and store in the original box or a clean, dry place.

CAUTION! Storing the unit while wet can lead to mold and mildew growth, causing odors and potential health risks.
