Controls and Settings

Primary control is a single rotary dial on the front of the unit.

Control Dial:
• Turn clockwise to increase mist output and humidity.
• Turn counter-clockwise to decrease output.
• The "Quiet" setting (marked with a moon icon) operates the fan at its lowest speed for minimal noise.
• Turning the dial fully counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position powers down the unit.

Indicator Light: A blue LED "Refill" light illuminates when the water tank is empty and needs refilling.

Operation Guide

For optimal performance and comfort, follow these operating guidelines.

  1. Desired Humidity: Set the dial to a medium setting (40-50% relative humidity) for most environments.
  2. Refilling: When the refill light comes on, unplug the unit, remove the tank, refill with cool water, and replace.
  3. Night Use: Use the "Quiet" setting for undisturbed sleep.
  4. Moving the Unit: Always unplug the unit and empty the tank before moving it.

Tip: Use a hygrometer to monitor room humidity and adjust the dial accordingly to prevent over-humidification.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup, ensuring efficient operation.

  1. Daily: Check water level and refill as needed with cool tap water.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Unplug the unit. Empty any remaining water. Clean the tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Disinfecting (Every 2 Weeks): Use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water to wipe down the interior surfaces of the tank and base. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and storing.

WARNING! Never immerse the motor base in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents not intended for plastic.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when it appears discolored or crusted with minerals.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old wick filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new filter (Honeywell Part # HEV225A) in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the wet filter into the frame in the base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a dirty filter can reduce performance and disperse minerals into the air.
