Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a stable, level, waterproof surface away from electronics and direct sunlight.

  1. Remove the water tank from the base unit.
  2. Install the wick filter: Remove from packaging, soak in cool water for 15-20 minutes, then insert into the base unit's filter frame.
  3. Fill the tank: Turn tank upside down, remove cap, fill with cool, clean tap or distilled water (do not use hot water or additives). Replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank onto base: Align tank with base and set down firmly. Ensure tank is seated properly to activate the valve.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Always unplug the humidifier before moving, cleaning, or refilling. Do not operate without water or with an empty tank.

First-Time Use

After installation, follow these steps for initial operation.

  1. Power on: Press the power switch to the ON (I) position.
  2. Set humidity: Turn the humidity control dial to your desired setting (Low to High).
  3. Adjust mist direction: Rotate the 360-degree nozzle to direct mist away from walls, furniture, and electronics.
  4. Monitor operation: The unit will begin producing a cool mist. The refill light will illuminate when the tank is nearly empty.

CAUTION! Use only clean, cool water. Never add essential oils, fragrances, or other chemicals to the water tank, as this can damage the unit and void the warranty.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Power Switch: Turns unit ON/OFF. Humidity Control Dial: Adjusts mist output (Low, Medium, High). Refill Indicator Light: Glows red when water level is low.

Daily Operation: Ensure tank is filled. Turn dial to desired setting. The wick filter will draw water from the base and the fan will blow air through it, releasing evaporated moisture into the air.

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the tank is empty or if the tank is removed while the unit is running.

Tip: For optimal humidity (30-50%), use a hygrometer. Do not aim mist directly at people, walls, or electronic devices.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, mineral buildup, and ensures efficient operation. Clean every 1-2 weeks, or more often in hard water areas.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Remove and empty the water tank.
  3. Clean tank: Fill with a mixture of 1 quart white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Swirl and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub interior with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean base: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse base in water. Clean the water inlet valve and tray with a vinegar solution and soft cloth.
  5. Rinse all parts with clean water and air dry completely before reassembly.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Do not allow water to enter the motor housing or electrical components.

Replacing the Wick Filter

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, or when it appears discolored, stiff, or has mineral deposits.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old wick filter from the base frame.
  3. Soak the new filter (Model HWF-110) in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the saturated filter into the frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.

Note: Using a worn-out filter reduces mist output and efficiency. Use only genuine Honeywell replacement filters.

Storage Instructions

If not using for an extended period (e.g., summer months), prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in Section 7. Allow all parts to air dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the used wick filter.
  4. Reassemble the unit without a filter, or store the new filter separately in its original packaging.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place in its original box if possible.

Tip: Do not store with water in the tank, as this can lead to mold and bacterial growth.
