Controls and Operation

Main controls are located on the base unit.

Humidity Control Dial: Rotate clockwise to increase mist output (Low → High). Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease or turn off.

360-Degree Mist Nozzle: Manually rotate to direct mist flow.

Indicator Lights: Power/Refill light (Green = On, Red = Empty/Refill Needed).

Automatic Features: Shut-off activates when tank is empty. Unit will not operate without water in tank.

Daily Operation: For continuous use, refill tank daily. Use distilled water to minimize mineral deposits and extend filter life.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug unit before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Empty any remaining water from tank and base. Rinse with clean water.
  2. Weekly: Deep clean tank and base with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Soak for 20 minutes, scrub, and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Inspect and clean the mist nozzle and air intake grille with a soft brush.
  4. Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.

Tip: Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. They can damage plastic and leave harmful residues.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Unplug unit and remove water tank.
  2. Lift out the old filter from the base frame. Discard properly.
  3. Insert new Honeywell HWF250 filter. Ensure it is seated flat and fully expanded.
  4. Reassemble tank and base. Run unit for 15 minutes to prime the new filter.

WARNING! Do not operate the humidifier without a filter. A clogged or old filter reduces efficiency and can promote microbial growth.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty to prevent motor damage. Tip-Over Protection: Unit is designed to minimize spillage if tipped. Over-Humidification Prevention: Manual control allows user to set appropriate moisture level.

Important Safety Instructions: Always use on a flat, stable surface. Do not block air intake or mist outlet. Never attempt to repair electrical components; contact authorized service.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare unit for storage.

  1. Unplug power cord.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts (tank, base, filter frame). Allow to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard used wick filter.
  4. Store unit in original box or a clean, dry place.
  5. Do not store with water in tank.

CAUTION! Never store the unit while wet, as this can lead to mold and mildew growth inside the components.
