Controls and Operation

Primary control is the rotary knob on the base unit.

Control Knob: - **OFF:** Turns the humidifier off. - **LOW (I):** Minimal mist output for quiet, overnight use. - **MEDIUM (II):** Moderate mist output for average daily use. - **HIGH (III):** Maximum mist output for quickly raising room humidity.

Indicator Light:** A red light on the control panel illuminates when the water tank is empty, reminding you to refill.

Automatic Shut-Off:** The unit will automatically power off when the tank is empty to protect the motor.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean Tank: Fill tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub interior with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Clean Base: Wipe the base reservoir and all surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with the vinegar solution. Do not submerge the base in water. Rinse cloth and wipe clean.
  5. Dry: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and storing or reusing.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasives. Do not immerse the motorized base in water or let water enter the control area.

Replacing the Filter

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more often if using hard water or running continuously.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Open the filter compartment cover on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and discard it.
  4. Insert a new Honeywell replacement filter (Model HF-260) into the compartment. Ensure it is seated flat.
  5. Close the filter compartment cover.
  6. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.

Note: Using a worn-out filter reduces performance and mist output. Always use genuine Honeywell replacement filters.
