Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the Humidity Control Dial on the front of the base unit.

Dial Settings:
OFF: Unit is powered off.
LOW (1): Minimal mist output, quietest operation, longest run time.
MEDIUM (2): Moderate mist output.
HIGH (3): Maximum mist output for dry conditions.

Indicator Light: Blue LED illuminates when unit is plugged in and dial is turned from OFF. Light remains on during operation and turns off when unit auto-shuts off due to empty tank.

Mist Outlet: Nozzle can be rotated 360 degrees to direct mist away from walls, furniture, or electronics.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Separate the tank from the base.
  4. Clean the tank with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush for the interior. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Wipe the base exterior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
  6. Clean the mist outlet with a cotton swab if clogged.
  7. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

Tip: For disinfecting, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water. Rinse thoroughly afterward.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter (HWF100) should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or hardened.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old wick filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, wet filter into the filter frame in the base.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then resume use.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter. A dirty filter reduces efficiency and can promote microbial growth.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty, protecting the motor from damage.
Tip-Over Protection: If the unit is knocked over, it will stop operating.
Low Water Indicator: The indicator light will turn off when the tank is empty and the unit has shut down.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period (e.g., summer months):

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts as described in Section 7.
  3. Remove and discard the old wick filter.
  4. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  5. Reassemble and store in the original box or a dry, cool place.

CAUTION! Do not store with water in the tank. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
