  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from plastic bag and insert into the filter frame in the base unit.
  3. Fill the tank with clean, cool water. Do not use hot water or additives.
  4. Place the tank back onto the base unit, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Always place the humidifier on a waterproof mat or towel to protect flooring from potential moisture. Ensure the unit is on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier and set your desired humidity level.

  1. Turn the Humidistat dial to your desired setting (recommended 35-50% relative humidity).
  2. Select fan speed: HIGH for rapid humidification, LOW for quiet, maintenance operation.
  3. The unit will begin evaporating moisture. The refill light will illuminate when the tank is empty.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control Panel located on top front of unit.

Main Controls: POWER/HUMIDISTAT Dial (Off, Low Humidity, High Humidity), FAN SPEED Switch (High/Low).

Indicator Light: REFILL light (red) illuminates when water tank is empty and needs refilling.

Operation: Set humidistat to desired level. The unit will cycle on and off automatically to maintain that humidity. Use HIGH fan speed for faster humidification or in very dry conditions. Use LOW fan speed for quieter operation and maintenance of humidity.

Maintenance & Filter Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and air quality.

  1. Filter Replacement: Replace the wicking filter every 1-2 months during the season, or as needed (signs: reduced output, white dust, odor). Use Honeywell HWF-360 filter.
  2. Daily: Refill the water tank as needed when the REFILL light comes on.
  3. Weekly: Inspect the filter for scaling or debris. Rinse if lightly soiled.
  4. End of Season: Perform a thorough cleaning (see Cleaning section) and dry all parts completely before storage.

Tip: Using demineralization cartridges or distilled water can extend filter life and reduce white dust.

Cleaning Instructions

Unplug the unit and empty all water before cleaning.

  1. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Remove the wicking filter from the base.
  3. Clean the tank with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not submerge the tank base (where handles are attached).
  4. Wipe down the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not allow water to enter the motor or electrical areas.
  5. Clean the base reservoir with a soft brush and a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) to remove mineral deposits. Rinse thoroughly.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents not intended for plastic. Never immerse the base unit, motor, or electrical components in water.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-off: Unit will stop operating when the water tank is empty or removed. Stable Base Design: Wide footprint to prevent tipping. Cool Mist Technology: Produces room-temperature mist, safe around children and pets.
