Specifications

Controls and Operation

Simple knob control for mist output. Base Unit: Power cord, Indicator Light, Wick Filter Slot, Fan Grill.

Operation: Turn knob clockwise to increase mist (HIGH), counter-clockwise to decrease (LOW). The unit will run until the tank is empty or turned off. The auto-shutoff will activate when the water level is too low.

Daily Use: Refill tank as needed. Adjust mist level based on room humidity. For best results, use in a closed room.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug unit before cleaning.

  1. Empty tank daily if not in continuous use.
  2. Weekly cleaning: Disassemble tank and base. Clean all parts with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush for the tank interior.
  3. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  4. Descale monthly: Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Soak tank and base (except electrical parts) for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

Tip: Never immerse the base unit's motor or electronics in water.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more often with hard water.

  1. Turn off and unplug humidifier.
  2. Remove water tank and empty base.
  3. Pull out the old wick filter from its slot in the base.
  4. Insert new Honeywell HF440 filter. Ensure it is seated flat and fully.
  5. Reassemble tank and base.

WARNING! Do not operate without a filter. A dirty filter reduces efficiency and can cause odors.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when water tank is empty, preventing damage to the fan motor. Tip-Over Protection: If unit tips, mist production stops. Cool Mist: No risk of burns from hot water or steam.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare for storage.

  1. Unplug unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts (see Cleaning section).
  3. Remove and discard old wick filter.
  4. Allow all parts to dry completely for 24-48 hours.
  5. Reassemble without filter and store in original box in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never store with water in the tank. This prevents mold and mildew growth.
