Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control knob on front of base unit: OFF, LOW, MED, HIGH. Refill indicator light illuminates red when tank is empty.

Operation: Turn knob to desired setting. Mist output increases with higher settings. The wicking filter draws water from the tank, and a fan blows air through it to create a cool mist.

Refilling: When indicator light turns on or mist stops, unplug unit, remove tank, refill with cool water, and reassemble. Light will turn off after refill.

Auto Shut-Off: Unit will automatically power off when tank is empty to protect the motor.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Empty any remaining water from tank and base. Clean tank with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Descale tank and base with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Soak for 20 minutes, scrub, rinse well.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to reduce mineral deposits and extend filter life.

Filter Replacement

Replace wicking filter every 1-3 months depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Unplug unit and remove water tank.
  2. Open filter compartment on base.
  3. Remove old filter and dispose.
  4. Insert new filter (Honeywell part #HEF250) into compartment.
  5. Close compartment and reassemble tank.
  6. Soak new filter for 15-20 minutes before first use for optimal performance.

WARNING! Never operate unit without a filter. Using a dirty filter can reduce efficiency and promote microbial growth.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty. Tip-Over Protection: Unit stops if knocked over. Refill Indicator: Red light alerts when tank needs refilling.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean tank and base.
  3. Remove and discard old filter.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely.
  5. Reassemble and store in original box in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not store with water in tank. Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or submerge base unit in water.
