Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the rotary Control Knob on the front of the base unit.

Control Knob Positions:
OFF: Unit is powered off.
LOW (Quiet): Minimum mist output for quiet, nighttime operation.
MED: Medium mist output for average humidity needs.
HIGH: Maximum mist output for quickly raising humidity in dry conditions.

Indicator Lights:
Power Light (Blue): Illuminates when unit is plugged in and turned ON.
Filter Change Light (Red): Illuminates when it is time to replace the wicking filter (typically after 1-2 months of use).

Automatic Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty, preventing damage to the motor.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean the Tank: Fill with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub interior with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Clean the Base: Wipe the exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Do not submerge the base in water. Clean the water reservoir in the base with the vinegar solution and a cloth.
  5. Dry Completely: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and storing or reusing.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Do not allow water to enter the motor housing or electrical components in the base.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when the Filter Change Indicator light turns red, or if mineral deposits are visible.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Take the new HEV620FILTER from its bag and soak it in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the soaked filter into the filter frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Replace the water tank and plug in the unit. The Filter Change light should turn off.
  6. Dispose of the old filter.

Tip: Using distilled or demineralized water can extend filter life. Always use genuine Honeywell replacement filters for optimal performance.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Protects the motor by turning the unit off when the water tank is empty.
Tip-Over Protection: The unit is designed to minimize leakage if tipped, but always operate in an upright position.
Filter Change Indicator: Alerts user to maintain air quality and unit efficiency.
Cool Mist Technology: Produces a room-temperature mist, safe for children and pets.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period (e.g., summer months), prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in the Cleaning section.
  3. Remove and discard the used wicking filter.
  4. Allow all parts to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
  5. Reassemble the unit without a filter and store in its original box or a clean, dry place.
  6. Do not store with water in the tank.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with a damp filter installed, as this can promote mold growth.
