Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the Humidity Control Dial on the front of the unit.

Dial Positions: OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH. Turning the dial clockwise increases mist output.

Mist Outlet: Can be rotated 360 degrees to direct mist flow.

Filter Change Indicator Light: Illuminates when it is time to replace the wicking filter (typically every 1-2 months).

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty. Refill the tank to resume operation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Clean the tank with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush for the interior.
  4. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  5. Wipe the base exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and refilling.

Tip: For disinfecting, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water. Rinse thoroughly afterward.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when the Filter Change Indicator light turns on.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Soak the new filter (Model HUL565FILTER) in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, soaked filter into the filter frame.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.
  6. Press and hold the Filter Reset button (if equipped) for 3 seconds to reset the indicator light.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. This can cause excessive mineral dust and damage the unit.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when the water tank is empty to prevent damage to the motor. Tip-Over Protection: The unit is designed to minimize spillage if tipped. Filter Change Indicator: Alerts user when filter replacement is needed for optimal performance and air quality.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Clean all parts thoroughly as described in the Maintenance section and allow to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the used wicking filter.
  4. Store the unit in its original box or a clean, dry place.
  5. Do not store with a new filter installed; install a fresh filter at the start of the next season.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank, as this can lead to mold and mildew growth.
