Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Clean the tank: Use a soft cloth or brush with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean the base: Wipe the base interior and exterior with a damp, soapy cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
  5. Clean the mist outlet: Use a cotton swab to clear any residue from the nozzle.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.

Tip: For disinfecting, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water. Rinse thoroughly.

Replacing the Filter

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when it appears discolored or crusty.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter cage in the base.
  3. Prepare the new filter: Soak the new filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new filter into the cage, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Reassemble the unit and resume operation.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. This can cause white dust and damage the unit.

Storage Instructions

When not in use for an extended period (e.g., summer months), prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in the Cleaning section. Allow to dry completely.
