Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean Tank: Fill with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Swirl and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean Base: Wipe interior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with the vinegar solution. Do not submerge the base in water.
  5. Dry: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.
  6. Frequency: Clean every 1-2 weeks during use. Clean before storage.

WARNING! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents. Do not immerse the base in water.

Filter Replacement

The demineralization cartridge (wick filter) should be replaced regularly.

  1. Replacement Indicator: Replace filter every 30-60 days of use, or when white dust appears, or if unit output decreases.
  2. To Replace: Unplug unit. Remove water tank. Pull the old filter cartridge straight up and out of its slot. Insert new filter, pressing down until it clicks.
