Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, level, and waterproof surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the tank and base.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from package, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into the filter compartment in the base.
  3. Fill the tank: Remove tank from base, turn upside down, unscrew cap, fill with cool, clean water (do not use hot water). Replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank back onto base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Place humidifier on a waterproof mat or towel to protect furniture. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

First-Time Use

After installation, power on the humidifier and adjust settings.

  1. Power On: Press the Power Button. The Power Indicator Light will illuminate.
  2. Set Mist Output: Turn the Humidity Control Dial to desired setting (Low for quiet operation, High for maximum moisture output).
  3. Adjust Mist Direction: Rotate the 360° Mist Nozzle to direct mist away from walls and electronics.
  4. Monitor Humidity: Use a hygrometer (not included) to achieve optimal room humidity (40-60%).
  5. Refill When Needed: The Refill Indicator Light will turn on when the tank is empty. Unplug, refill, and resume operation.

CAUTION! Always unplug the unit before refilling or cleaning. Do not operate without water or without the filter installed.

Auto Shut-Off: Activates when water level is too low, preventing damage. The unit will not operate until refilled.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Clean the Tank: Use a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not submerge the tank cap assembly.
  4. Clean the Base: Wipe the base interior and exterior with a damp, soapy cloth. Use a soft brush to clean the mist nozzle if clogged.
  5. Disinfect (Weekly): Add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar to a full tank of water. Let sit for 20 minutes, then run the humidifier on High for 30 minutes in a well-ventilated area. Empty and rinse thoroughly.
  6. Dry all parts completely before reassembly or storage.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to reduce mineral deposits and extend filter life.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Open the filter compartment door on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and discard it.
  4. Soak the new HWF-255 filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert the new, soaked filter into the compartment, ensuring it is seated flat.
  6. Close the compartment door securely.
  7. Reassemble the tank and base.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. This can cause excessive mineral dust (white dust) and damage the unit.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Prevents operation when tank is empty. Tip-Over Protection: Internal switch shuts off unit if tipped over. Overheat Protection: Thermal fuse protects motor from overheating.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean and dry the tank and base as per cleaning instructions.
  3. Remove and discard the used filter. Do not store with a wet filter.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry to prevent mold growth.
  5. Reassemble and store in original packaging or a clean, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not store with water in the tank. Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents for cleaning.
