Controls and Operation

Control Panel located on the front of the base unit.

Main Controls: Mist Control Knob (Off/Low/High), Refill Indicator Light (Red LED), Power Indicator (Blue LED).

Operation: Turn knob to Low for quiet, all-night operation. Turn to High for maximum moisture output in dry conditions. The red Refill Light will illuminate when the water level is low and the unit will automatically shut off. The blue Power Light indicates the unit is receiving power.

Water Tank Refilling

Refill when the red indicator light turns on or mist output decreases.

  1. Turn the mist control knob to OFF and unplug the unit.
  2. Lift the water tank straight up and off the base.
  3. Carry the tank to a sink. Unscrew the cap on the bottom.
  4. Fill with cool, clean water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Replace the cap securely and wipe any spilled water from the tank.
  6. Place the tank back onto the base, ensuring it clicks into place.
  7. Plug the unit back in and turn the mist control to your desired setting.

Tip: Using distilled water can reduce mineral buildup and extend filter life.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank and wick filter.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the base reservoir.
  3. Clean the tank and base with a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft brush or cloth.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  5. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the base unit in water.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  7. For disinfecting, use a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water. Rinse thoroughly.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Do not immerse the motorized base in water.

Filter Replacement

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when discolored or hardened.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Pull the old wick filter straight up and out of the base.
  4. Insert a new HWM-260F filter into the slot, ensuring it sits flat at the bottom.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base. Soak the new filter for 15-20 minutes before first use.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and cause mineral dust (white dust).

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period, prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Clean all parts thoroughly as described in the cleaning section and allow to dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the old wick filter.
  4. Store all parts in a cool, dry place. Do not store with a wet filter installed.
  5. Reinstall a new filter when preparing for next use.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water inside, as this can lead to mold and mildew growth.
