Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Clean every 1-2 weeks, or more often in hard water areas.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean the tank with a mild detergent and a soft brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe the base interior and exterior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
  5. Descale as needed using a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Let sit for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
  6. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to significantly reduce scale buildup.

Using Essential Oils

Only use the designated essential oil tray. Do not add oils directly to the water tank or medicine cup.

  1. Ensure the unit is OFF and unplugged.
  2. Pull out the essential oil tray (usually located near the mist outlet).
  3. Add 2-3 drops of your preferred 100% pure essential oil to the tray pad or tray itself.
  4. Slide the tray back into its slot.
  5. Operate the humidifier as normal. The warm mist will carry the fragrance.
  6. Clean the oil tray regularly with soap and water to prevent clogging and oil residue buildup.

WARNING! Use oils sparingly. Some oils may damage plastic components. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically power off when the water tank is empty or improperly seated, preventing damage to the heating element.

Cool-Touch Exterior: Designed to remain cool to the touch during operation.

Tip-Over Protection: Some models may include a switch that turns the unit off if it is knocked over.

Overheat Protection: Internal safety device protects against overheating.

  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as per the Cleaning section.
  3. Allow all parts to dry completely.
  4. Reassemble and store in the original box or a protective bag in a cool, dry place.
