Specifications

Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front of the base unit.

Control Knob:
• OFF: Unit is powered down.
• LOW: Produces a gentle mist for quiet operation and extended run time.
• HIGH: Maximum mist output for rapid humidification.

Refill Indicator Light: A red LED that turns on when the water tank is nearly empty, signaling it is time to refill.

Auto Shut-Off: A safety feature that automatically powers the unit off when the water tank is empty or if the tank is lifted off the base.

Operation

For optimal performance and humidity control.

  1. Place the humidifier centrally in the room for even moisture distribution.
  2. Start on HIGH speed to quickly raise humidity, then switch to LOW for maintenance.
  3. Monitor room humidity with a hygrometer (not included); ideal range is 30-50%.
  4. Refill the tank when the indicator light turns on. Always turn the knob to OFF before removing the tank.
  5. If not using for an extended period, empty the tank and base, clean thoroughly, and store dry.

Tip: Using distilled or demineralized water can reduce white dust and extend filter life.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Check water level and refill as needed.
  2. Weekly: Empty any remaining water from the tank and base. Clean the tank interior with a mild detergent and soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Bi-Weekly (or as needed): Descale the base and tank using a solution of one cup white vinegar and one gallon water. Soak affected parts for 20 minutes, scrub, and rinse.
  4. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  5. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and using.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals. Do not allow water to enter the motor or electrical components in the base.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or when visibly discolored or calcified, for optimal performance.

  1. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it.
  2. Remove the water tank from the base.
  3. Lift out the old filter from the frame in the base.
  4. Soak the new filter (Part # HWM-404) in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert the new, soaked filter into the frame. Ensure it is seated flat.
  6. Reinstall the water tank and plug in the unit.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a damaged filter can cause excessive white dust and reduce performance.
