Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a flat, stable, and water-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and tank.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove from plastic bag, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into the filter frame.
  3. Fill the water tank: Carry to sink, remove cap, fill with cool tap water, replace cap securely.
  4. Place the tank: Position tank onto the base, ensuring it sits firmly and evenly.
  5. Plug into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Place humidifier on a level surface away from heat sources and electronics. Do not block mist outlet.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier; adjust settings for optimal performance.

  1. Turn the humidistat knob to the desired humidity level (e.g., 40-50% for comfort).
  2. Select fan speed: Turn the fan control knob to HIGH for maximum output or LOW for quiet operation.
  3. Adjust mist direction: Rotate the 360° nozzle to direct mist away from walls and furniture.
  4. Monitor the refill indicator: The light will turn on when the tank is empty and needs refilling.

CAUTION! Use only clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water, additives, or essential oils unless specified.

Operation: Power Switch turns unit on/off. Humidistat sets target humidity. Fan Speed selects output level. Refill Light indicates empty tank. Filter Light indicates need for replacement.

Settings: Adjust humidistat based on room conditions (higher in winter). Use HIGH fan for rapid humidification, LOW for quiet nighttime use. Ensure mist nozzle is clear and directed appropriately.

Operation Guide

Daily operation for optimal humidity control.

  1. Check water level daily; refill when tank is low or refill light illuminates.
  2. Adjust humidistat as needed for seasonal changes or personal comfort.
  3. Use the quiet mode (LOW fan) during sleep or in offices for minimal noise.
  4. Clean the tank and base weekly to prevent mold or bacteria growth (see Maintenance).
  5. Replace the wicking filter every 1-2 months or when indicated by the filter light.

Tip: For best performance, place the humidifier in the center of the room, at least 12 inches from walls.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures efficient operation and prevents microbial growth.

  1. Unplug the humidifier before any cleaning.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean the tank: Use a soft brush and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean the base: Wipe interior surfaces with a damp cloth. Use a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) to descale mineral deposits. Rinse well.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and use.

WARNING! Never immerse the base unit in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months or when visibly dirty or clogged.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank from the base.
  3. Take out the old filter from the filter frame.
  4. Insert the new Honeywell HF-4040 filter. Ensure it is seated properly.
  5. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15 minutes before first use.
  6. Reset the filter change indicator light if applicable (refer to manual).

Note: Using non-genuine filters may reduce performance and void warranty.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all water from the tank and base.
  2. Clean all parts thoroughly as described in the Maintenance section.
  3. Allow all components to air dry completely.
  4. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used filter installed.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original box.
