Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a flat, stable, waterproof surface away from electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and tank.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove from package, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter frame.
  3. Fill the water tank: Carry to sink, remove cap, fill with cool tap water, replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank on base: Align tank with base unit and set in place.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Always use clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water or additives. Ensure unit is on a level surface to prevent leakage.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier; the digital display will illuminate.

  1. Set desired humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to select target level (40%-60% recommended).
  2. Adjust mist output: Use the MIST knob or button to set output from Low (1) to High (3).
  3. Set the timer (optional): Press TIMER to program automatic shut-off.
  4. Enable Quiet Mode: Press QUIET for reduced noise during sleep.
  5. Allow 15-20 minutes for the unit to begin producing visible mist.

CAUTION! Do not block mist outlet or air intakes. Keep unit at least 12 inches from walls and furniture.

Tip: For best results, keep doors and windows closed in the room being humidified.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  3. Clean tank with mild dish soap and warm water; rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe base interior with a soft cloth dampened with a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution to descale.
  5. Rinse all parts with clean water and air dry completely before reassembly.
  6. Clean the exterior with a dry, soft cloth.

Frequency: Clean every 1-2 weeks during use, or more often in hard water areas.

WARNING! Never immerse base unit in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and usage.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank and old filter from the base.
  3. Soak the new filter (Model HF-4040) in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the damp filter into the filter frame in the base.
  5. Press and hold the FILTER RESET button for 3 seconds to reset the indicator light.
  6. Reassemble and refill the tank.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and disperse minerals into the air.
