Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and bacteria growth.

  1. Unplug unit and remove tank.
  2. Empty any remaining water from base.
  3. Clean tank with mild soap and warm water; rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe base interior with damp cloth; do not submerge.
  5. Use vinegar solution (1 cup white vinegar + 1 gallon water) to descale if needed.
  6. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.
  7. Replace wick filter every 1-2 months or when discolored/hard.
