Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on a flat, stable, level surface away from heat sources and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier and water tank.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from packaging, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter frame in base.
  3. Fill the water tank: Carry tank to sink, remove cap, fill with cool tap water, replace cap securely.
  4. Position the unit: Place humidifier at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper air circulation.
  5. Plug into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only cool tap water. Do not use hot water or additives. Ensure unit is on a level surface to prevent leakage.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier and configure initial settings.

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Set desired humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select a humidity level between 30% and 60% (45% is recommended for comfort).
  3. Select fan speed: Press FAN button to cycle through High, Medium, and Low settings.
  4. Monitor the digital display: It shows current room humidity and set target.
  5. Allow 24 hours for the unit to stabilize and accurately adjust room humidity.

CAUTION! Do not operate without water or filter installed. Always use two hands when carrying a full water tank.

Operation Modes

Automatic Mode (Default): Unit monitors room humidity and adjusts fan speed automatically to maintain set level.

  1. Press POWER to turn on.
  2. Set desired humidity with UP/DOWN buttons.
  3. Unit will operate in Auto mode, displaying "AUTO" icon.
  4. Fan speed will vary based on humidity difference.

Manual Mode: For constant output.

  1. Press FAN button to select High, Medium, or Low speed.
  2. "AUTO" icon will disappear.
  3. Fan will run continuously at selected speed until changed or unit is turned off.

Tip: Use Auto mode for energy efficiency and consistent comfort. Use High speed when first increasing room humidity.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug unit before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Empty any remaining water from tank and base. Rinse tank with clean water.
  3. Bi-Weekly: Deep clean tank and base with a mixture of 1 teaspoon white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Monthly: Clean the filter frame and sensor area with a soft brush or cloth.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

WARNING! Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or submerge the base in water. Never operate with visible mold or scale buildup.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-3 months depending on water hardness and usage. Use genuine Honeywell replacement filters (Model HF-950).

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the base frame and discard.
  3. Soak new filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  4. Insert the new filter into the frame, ensuring it sits flat and fully contacts the water.
  5. Press and hold the FILTER button on the control panel for 3 seconds to reset the filter indicator.
  6. Reassemble and refill the unit.

CAUTION! Do not operate with a dirty or clogged filter. This reduces performance and can cause motor strain.

Care & Storage

For seasonal storage or extended non-use:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the water tank and base as described in Section 8.
  3. Remove and discard the used filter.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely for at least 24 hours.
  5. Reassemble the unit without a filter.
  6. Store in original box or a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank or with a damp filter, as this promotes mold growth.
