Installation & Assembly

Unpack all parts. Place unit on a stable, level, waterproof surface away from electronics.

  1. Remove tank from base: Lift tank straight up.
  2. Install wicking filter: Insert filter into the base's filter frame, ensuring it is seated properly.
  3. Prepare tank cap: Ensure the cap's sealing gasket is clean and in place.
  4. Reattach tank: Place empty tank back onto base, aligning it correctly.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool tap or distilled water. Do not use hot water or additives. Ensure tank cap is securely fastened after filling to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, clean the tank and base according to cleaning instructions.

  1. Fill the tank: Remove tank cap, fill with clean water, replace cap tightly.
  2. Power on: Plug into a 120V AC outlet. The unit will beep and power light will illuminate.
  3. Set humidity: Turn the humidistat dial to desired setting (e.g., 45-50% RH).
  4. Select mode: Use the control panel to select desired mist output and quiet mode if needed.

CAUTION! Always turn off and unplug the unit before filling, cleaning, or servicing. Handle the filled tank with care; it is heavy.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control Panel: POWER Button, HUMIDISTAT Dial, QUIET MODE Button, Indicator Lights (Power, Empty, Filter).

Operation: Power on, set desired humidity level. The unit will run until set humidity is reached, then cycle on/off automatically. Use QUIET MODE for reduced noise. The TANK EMPTY light will illuminate when refill is needed. The FILTER CHANGE light indicates when to replace the wicking filter.

Tank Cap Role: Must be securely tightened after each fill to create a proper seal, enabling correct water flow and preventing spills.

Filling the Tank (Tank Cap Focus)

The top-fill design with a dedicated tank cap simplifies refilling.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Locate the fill area on top of the tank. Twist the tank cap counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
  3. Pour clean, cool water directly into the opening. Do not overfill.
  4. Inspect the cap's rubber gasket for debris or damage. Wipe clean if necessary.
  5. Replace the tank cap onto the opening and twist clockwise until it is firmly secured and clicks into place. Ensure it is tight to prevent leaks.
  6. Plug the unit back in and power on.

Tip: For easier handling, you may remove the entire tank to fill it at a sink, but the top-fill cap allows filling in place. Always ensure the cap is sealed before moving the tank.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Clean every 1-2 weeks during use.

  1. Unplug unit. Remove tank and empty any remaining water.
  2. Disassemble: Remove tank cap and pour out water. Separate tank from base.
  3. Clean tank and cap: Use a soft brush or cloth with a mild detergent (e.g., vinegar solution or manufacturer-recommended cleaner). Scrub interior surfaces and the tank cap threads and gasket thoroughly. Rinse completely with clean water.
  4. Clean base: Wipe exterior. Clean the water tray and any interior surfaces according to manual instructions. Do not immerse base in water.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

WARNING! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or submerge the electronic base. Always dry the tank cap gasket area to ensure a proper seal.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months or as indicated by the FILTER CHANGE light.

  1. Unplug unit and remove water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the base frame.
  3. Insert new Honeywell replacement filter (Model specific). Do not touch the filter material with oily hands.
  4. Reassemble tank and base. Reset the filter indicator light if applicable (consult manual).

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a damaged filter can lead to white dust output and reduced performance.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug, empty, and thoroughly clean all parts as described above.
  2. Allow all components, especially the tank interior and cap, to air dry completely.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used, wet filter inside.
  4. Reassemble the dry unit without the filter, or store the filter separately in a dry place.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place in its original box if possible.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank. Ensure the tank cap is left slightly loose or stored separately to prevent odor buildup.
