Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front of the humidifier base.

Mist Control Knob: Rotate clockwise to increase mist output (Low -> Medium -> High). Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease output or turn off (OFF position).

Night Light Button: Press once to turn the blue night light ON. Press again to turn it OFF. The light operates independently of the mist function.

Automatic Shut-Off: This safety feature is always active. The unit will power off when the water tank is empty or if the tank is lifted off the base.

Water Level Indicator: A clear window on the tank shows approximate water level.

Operation Guide

For daily use and optimal performance.

  1. Filling: Always unplug the unit before refilling. Carry tank to sink, fill with cool water, replace cap, and return to base.
  2. Adjusting Mist: Use the knob to set the desired humidity level. Higher settings add moisture faster.
  3. Night Light: Use for comfort in dark rooms; does not affect humidification.
  4. Moving the Unit: Always unplug, then lift by the base, not the tank, to avoid spills.
  5. Long-Term Use: For continuous use, refill daily and clean the unit weekly as per maintenance instructions.

Tip: Use distilled water to minimize mineral deposits and extend filter life, especially in areas with hard water.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning prevents mold, bacteria, and mineral buildup.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Weekly Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Remove and empty the water tank.
    • Clean the tank with a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
    • Wipe the base interior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not get the motor area wet.
    • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
    • Use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon water to soak and clean mineral deposits from the tank and base. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Filter Replacement: Replace the wicking filter (HWF045) every 1-2 months, or when it appears discolored or crusty. Soak new filter for 15 mins before first use.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents not intended for plastic. Always unplug before cleaning.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when water level is low or tank is removed to prevent damage. Tip-Over Protection: Designed to minimize leakage if tipped. Cool Mist Technology: Produces room-temperature mist, safe around children and pets.
