Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, clean water. Do not let water sit for extended periods.
  2. Weekly Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
    • Clean the tank with a mild detergent and a soft brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
    • Wipe the base exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse base in water.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
    • Use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) to soak and remove mineral deposits from the tank and base interior. Rinse multiple times with clean water.

Tip: Always unplug the humidifier before cleaning. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembly and use.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during use, or when visibly discolored or clogged.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Open the filter compartment door on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and dispose of it.
  4. Insert the new Honeywell HF-50 filter. Ensure it is seated properly and the compartment door is closed.
  5. Reinstall the water tank, plug in the unit, and resume operation.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. Using a non-genuine or damaged filter may reduce performance and void the warranty.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when tank is empty to prevent motor damage. Tip-Over Protection: Internal switch may shut off unit if tipped. Over-Current Protection: Built-in fuse for electrical safety.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period, prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean and dry the water tank and base.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store with a used, wet filter.
  4. Store all parts in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original box.
  5. Before next use, clean again and install a new filter.

CAUTION! Never store with water in the tank. Ensure all parts are completely dry to prevent mold or mildew.
