Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a flat, stable, level surface away from walls and electronics.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Install the wicking filter: Remove filter from packaging, soak in cool water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter tray.
  3. Place the humidifier on a waterproof mat or towel in case of condensation.
  4. Ensure the unit is positioned at least 12 inches from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only on a level surface to prevent leakage. Do not place under shelves or near heat sources.

First-Time Use

Power on the humidifier; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Fill the tank with clean, cool tap water (do not use hot water or additives).
  2. Place tank securely back on the base; you will hear a click when properly seated.
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  4. Set desired humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select a level between 30% and 60%.
  5. Adjust mist output: Use the MIST control to set low, medium, or high output.
  6. For quiet operation: Press the QUIET MODE button to reduce fan noise.

CAUTION! Always use clean, cool water. Never add essential oils, fragrances, or chemicals to the water tank.

Humidity Setting: Press HUMIDITY buttons to set target humidity (30%-60%). The humidifier will cycle on/off to maintain this level. Mist Level: Adjust from Low (1) to High (3) for desired moisture output. Quiet Mode: Activates low-speed fan for minimal noise. Filter Reset: Hold FILTER button for 3 seconds after replacing filter to reset indicator.

Filling the Water Tank

Top-fill design allows filling without removing the tank.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Open the top fill cap located on the top of the unit.
  3. Pour clean, cool tap water directly into the opening. Use a pitcher if needed.
  4. Close the fill cap securely.
  5. The digital display will show the water level; refill indicator light turns off.
  6. Plug in and press POWER to resume operation.

Tip: For easier cleaning, you can remove the tank by lifting it straight up. Carry using the handle.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Empty any remaining water, rinse tank with clean water.
  3. Every 2 Weeks (Deep Clean):
    • Unplug unit and empty all water.
    • Remove tank and base components.
    • Clean tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon white vinegar and 1 gallon water. Scrub with soft brush.
    • Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
    • Wipe base and mist nozzle with vinegar solution and soft cloth.
    • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly.

WARNING! Never immerse the base unit in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes.

Filter Replacement

Replace wicking filter every 1-2 months for optimal performance.

  1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Open the filter compartment door on the side or back of the unit.
  4. Remove the old filter and dispose of it.
  5. Soak the new HF-845B filter in cool water for 15 minutes.
  6. Insert the new filter into the tray, ensuring it is seated properly.
  7. Close the filter compartment door.
  8. Hold the FILTER RESET button for 3 seconds to reset the filter indicator light.

Note: Using the humidifier without a filter or with a clogged filter can reduce performance and cause white dust.
