Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control Panel: Power Indicator, Humidity Control Dial, Night Light Button (if equipped).

Operation: Turn the dial clockwise to increase mist output (Low → Med → High). Turn counterclockwise to decrease or turn off. The night light provides soft illumination; press button to turn on/off independently of mist function.

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when the water tank is empty or improperly seated. The unit will stop producing mist and the power light may turn off or flash.

Refilling: Unplug the unit. Lift the tank off the base, carry to sink, remove cap, fill with cool water, replace cap, and reseat on base.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and ensures efficient operation.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse the water tank if not in continuous use.
  2. Weekly: Clean the tank and base with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) to descale. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Deep clean all parts. Use a soft brush to clean the heating element and mist outlet.
  4. Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Never immerse the base in water.
  5. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and use.

Tip: Using distilled water can reduce mineral deposits and cleaning frequency.

Medicine Cup Usage

The medicine cup is for use with approved inhalants (e.g., Vicks VapoSteam).

  1. Ensure the humidifier is off and unplugged.
  2. Pull out the medicine cup from its compartment.
  3. Add the recommended amount of inhalant to the cup. Do not exceed the fill line.
  4. Slide the cup back into its slot until it clicks into place.
  5. Plug in and operate the humidifier as normal. The warm mist will carry the medicated vapor.
  6. Clean the cup after each use with warm, soapy water.

WARNING! Use only inhalants designed for warm mist humidifiers. Never add medication, oils, or chemicals directly to the water tank.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Prevents overheating when water is low. Cool-Touch Exterior: Stays cool to the touch during operation. Tip-Over Protection: Internal switch cuts power if unit is knocked over.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean all parts as described.
  3. Allow all components to air dry completely.
  4. Reassemble and store in original box or a dry, cool place.
  5. Do not store with water in the tank.

CAUTION! Never store the unit while wet, as this can promote mold and mildew growth.
