  2. Install the wick filter: Remove from plastic, soak in cool water for 15-20 minutes, then place into the filter frame in the base.
  3. Fill the water tank: Carry tank to sink, remove cap, fill with cool, clean tap water. Replace cap securely.
  4. Place tank on base: Align tank with base and set down firmly. Ensure no leaks.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water, additives, or essential oils directly in the tank. Place on a water-resistant surface.

First-Time Use

After installation, power on the humidifier and set your preferences.

  1. Turn the humidistat dial to the desired humidity level (e.g., 40-50% for comfort).
  2. For continuous operation, turn dial to the maximum setting.
  3. Listen for the fan; you should feel cool, moist air from the outlet grille.
  4. Allow 15-30 minutes for humidity to begin rising in the room.

CAUTION! Do not block air inlet or outlet. Ensure the unit is upright and level. Never operate without the wick filter installed.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the Humidistat Dial on the front or side of the unit.

Operation: Turn dial clockwise to increase desired humidity level (higher number or MAX). The unit's fan will run until the room reaches the set humidity, then cycle off. It will turn back on when humidity drops.

Manual Fan Speed (if equipped): Some models have a separate fan speed switch (LOW/HIGH).

Indicator Lights: Power On light (usually blue/green). Filter Change reminder light (may flash or turn red when filter needs replacement).

Auto Shut-Off: The unit will automatically turn off when the water tank is empty or if the tank is removed. This prevents damage to the motor.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup, ensuring efficient operation and clean moisture output.

  1. Daily/Weekly: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Every 1-2 Weeks (or as needed): Clean the water tank and base.
    • Unplug unit. Remove tank and empty any remaining water.
    • Clean tank interior with a soft brush or cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
    • Wipe the base cavity and any surfaces that contact water. Do not immerse the base in water.
    • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  3. Descaling (for hard water areas): Monthly, use a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water) to soak and remove mineral deposits from the tank and base. Rinse thoroughly.

WARNING! Always unplug before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals.

Replacing the Filter

The wick filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during use, or when visibly dirty, crusted with minerals, or when the Filter Change Indicator activates.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the base frame. Discard it.
  3. Take the new filter out of its packaging. Soak it completely in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Place the soaked filter into the frame in the base, ensuring it is seated properly.
  5. Replace the water tank, plug in the unit, and reset the filter indicator (if applicable) by pressing and holding the Filter button for 3 seconds.

Tip: Use only genuine Honeywell replacement filters (Part # ________ ) for optimal performance and safety.

Using Essential Oils

Only for models with an essential oil tray. Do not add oils directly to the water tank or base.

  1. Ensure the humidifier is unplugged and the oil tray is clean and dry.
  2. Add 2-3 drops of your preferred 100% pure essential oil to the center of the dry tray.
  3. Slide the tray into its designated slot on the unit.
  4. Operate the humidifier as normal. The airflow will carry the scent into the room.
  5. Clean the tray regularly with soap and water to prevent oil residue buildup.

CAUTION! Overuse of oils can damage plastic components. Follow oil manufacturer's safety guidelines. Keep oils away from children and pets.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods (e.g., summer months), prepare the humidifier for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit. Empty and thoroughly clean the water tank and base as described in Section 7. Allow to dry completely.
  2. Remove and discard the used wick filter. Do not store a wet filter inside the unit.
  3. Clean and dry the essential oil tray (if equipped).
  4. Pack all parts in the original box or a suitable container. Store in a cool, dry place.

Tip: Before next use, install a new wick filter and perform a cleaning cycle with fresh water.
