Controls and Operation

Primary controls are located on the base unit.

Power Switch: Turns the humidifier ON (I) and OFF (O). Humidity Control Dial: Adjusts mist output (Low, Medium, High). Refill Indicator Light: Glows red when the water level is low. Mist Outlet: Can be rotated to direct moisture.

Daily Operation: Ensure tank is filled. Turn dial to desired setting. The unit will run until the tank is empty or turned off. The automatic shut-off will activate if the tank is removed or runs dry.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: Empty any remaining water. Clean the tank and base with a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): For mineral deposits, use a solution of one cup white vinegar and one gallon of water. Let sit for 20 minutes, scrub gently, then rinse multiple times until vinegar smell is gone.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.

Tip: Never immerse the base unit in water or let water enter the electrical components.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter (HF-635) should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more frequently in hard water areas or with continuous use.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Remove the old filter from the filter frame in the base.
  3. Soak the new filter in cool water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Insert the new, soaked filter into the frame.
  5. Reassemble the tank and base, then plug in the unit.

WARNING! Operating with a dirty or clogged filter reduces performance, increases noise, and can promote microbial growth. Use only genuine Honeywell HF-635 replacement filters.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Turns the unit off when the water tank is empty or improperly seated. Tip-Over Protection: Unit is designed to minimize spillage but should be kept upright. Cool Mist Technology: Produces a room-temperature mist, safe for children and pets.

Care & Storage

When not in use for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean and dry the tank and base.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store a wet filter inside the unit.
  4. Store all parts in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original box.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank. Always ensure it is completely dry to prevent mold and mildew.
