Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a firm, flat, level surface at least 12 inches from walls.

  1. Remove tank: Lift the water tank off the base unit.
  2. Install filter: Remove filter from packaging and insert into the filter compartment in the base.
  3. Fill tank: Turn tank upside down, remove cap, fill with cool tap water (do not use hot water). Replace cap securely.
  4. Assemble: Place tank back onto base, ensuring it sits firmly.
  5. Plug into standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only cool, clean tap water. Do not add essential oils or other additives as they can damage the unit. Ensure unit is on a waterproof surface.

First-Time Use

After installation, follow these steps to begin operation.

  1. Power on: Press the POWER button. The unit will beep and the indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Set humidity: Turn the HUMIDISTAT knob to your desired setting (e.g., 45% for comfort).
  3. Select speed: Press the SPEED button to choose High (fast humidification), Medium, or Quiet Night (lowest noise).
  4. Adjust mist outlet: Rotate the directional mist outlet to aim mist away from walls and furniture.
  5. Monitor: The empty tank indicator will light up when refilling is needed.

CAUTION! Always turn off and unplug the unit before refilling or cleaning.

Operation Guide

For daily use and optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Check water level; refill as needed before tank is completely empty.
  2. Setting Adjustment: Adjust HUMIDISTAT based on season and room dryness. Lower in summer, higher in winter.
  3. Night Use: Select QUIET NIGHT speed for undisturbed sleep.
  4. Moving Unit: Always turn off, unplug, and empty tank before moving. Carry separately.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to extend filter life and reduce white dust.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold and mineral buildup. Unplug before any maintenance.

  1. Daily/Weekly: Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Bi-Weekly Cleaning (Tank & Base):
    • Empty any remaining water.
    • Fill tank with 1 cup white vinegar and cool water. Swish and let sit for 20 minutes.
    • Scrub interior with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
    • Wipe base reservoir with vinegar-dampened cloth, rinse.
  3. Dry all parts completely before reassembly.

WARNING! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or detergents. Do not put base unit in dishwasher.

Filter Replacement

The wicking filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during use, or when visibly discolored or scaled.

  1. Turn off and unplug unit. Remove water tank.
  2. Open filter compartment door on the base.
  3. Remove old filter. Discard properly.
  4. Insert new Honeywell HWF-100 filter. Ensure it is seated properly.
  5. Close compartment door. Reassemble tank and base.
  6. Reset filter indicator (if model has one) by pressing and holding FILTER button for 3 seconds.

Note: Using a non-Honeywell filter may reduce performance and void warranty.
