  5. Plug into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only cool, clean tap water. Do not use hot water, additives, or essential oils. Ensure the unit is on a stable, waterproof surface.

First-Time Use

After installation, follow these steps to begin operation.

  1. Turn the humidistat control dial to the desired humidity setting (typically between 30-50% relative humidity).
  2. The unit will begin producing mist. Adjust the mist outlet to direct moisture away from walls and furniture.
  3. The refill indicator light will illuminate when the water tank is empty.
  4. For initial use, allow the unit to run for a few minutes to ensure proper mist output.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Primary control is the humidistat dial on the front of the base unit.

Humidistat Dial: Turn clockwise to increase humidity output (HIGH), counter-clockwise to decrease output (LOW). Setting it to the minimum position turns the unit off.

Indicator Light: The green power/refill light illuminates when the unit is plugged in and operating. It will turn amber or red when the tank is empty, signaling the need for a refill.

Automatic Operation: The unit will run until the desired humidity level is reached or the tank is empty, at which point it will shut off automatically.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and microbial growth. Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Daily: Refill with fresh, cool water.
  2. Weekly: Clean the tank and base. Empty any remaining water. Use a soft cloth and a mixture of mild dish soap and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) to wipe all interior surfaces. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  3. Monthly: Deep clean the unit and inspect the filter. Soak removable parts in a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water) for 20 minutes to descale. Rinse well.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembly and use.

Tip: Use distilled or demineralized water to reduce mineral deposits and extend filter life.

Replacing the Filter

The antimicrobial filter should be replaced every 1-2 months, or more frequently if the water is hard or the unit is used constantly.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Open the filter compartment cover on the base.
  3. Remove the old filter and discard it.
  4. Soak the new filter (HWF-040) in cool water for 15 minutes.
  5. Insert the new, soaked filter into the compartment, ensuring it is seated properly.
  6. Close the cover and reassemble the unit.

WARNING! Never operate the humidifier without a filter installed. This can cause excessive mineral dust output and damage the unit.

Safety Features

Automatic Shut-Off: Activates when the tank is empty to prevent damage to the motor. Tip-Over Protection: The unit is designed to minimize spillage if tipped, but should be placed on a stable surface. Antimicrobial Filter: Helps reduce the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria in the filter material.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare the unit for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and thoroughly clean the tank and base as described in the cleaning section.
  3. Remove and discard the old filter. Do not store the unit with a wet filter inside.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely.
  5. Reassemble and store in a cool, dry place in its original packaging if possible.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with water in the tank. Always ensure it is completely dry to prevent mold growth.
