Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to prevent mineral buildup and microbial growth.

  1. Daily: Empty any remaining water, rinse tank with clean water, and refill with fresh water.
  2. Weekly: Deep clean tank and base.
    • Unplug unit.
    • Remove tank and empty all water.
    • Clean tank with a mild detergent and soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
    • Wipe base interior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge base in water.

  3. Descaling: For hard water areas, use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1) to soak and remove mineral deposits monthly. Rinse thoroughly.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals.

Filter Replacement

The antimicrobial filter should be replaced every 1-2 months during regular use, or when visibly discolored or clogged.

  1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank.
  2. Lift out the old filter from the base.
  3. Insert the new replacement filter (Honeywell part #HWF-601). Ensure it sits flat in the base.
  4. Reinstall the water tank and plug in the unit.

Note: Do not operate the humidifier without a filter installed. Using a non-Honeywell filter may affect performance and void warranty.
